As a member of the Nashua Board of Education, Representative Santosh Salvi is a strong proponent of an affordable, high-quality public education. While the Nashua Board of Education recently approved the school budget with a 6% increase, Salvi was the only member to raise concerns regarding the lack of specific funding allocations to general education.
Salvi believes that neglecting the funding needs of the general student body is dangerous, as it incentivizes families to seek alternatives like charter schools, leaving our public schools with diminished resources. To prevent the hollowing out of our public school system, Salvi strongly advocates prioritizing funding that keeps our local schools competitive and robust for every child.
